As\u00ed que una parte importante del presupuesto de la pel\u00edcula ir\u00eda a parar a la obtenci\u00f3n de los derechos de <em>Stuck in the middle with you<\/em> (Stealers Wheel, 1974).<\/p>\n<p>Y parte de la genialidad de la escena est\u00e1 en el uso alejado de lo convencional que el director asign\u00f3 a un tema de tono tirando a optimista y festivo, que habla de la indecisi\u00f3n amorosa. El gusto de Tarantino por el ox\u00edmoron alcanz\u00f3 su cima audiovisual haciendo sonar la composici\u00f3n de Joe Egan y Gerry Rafferty en una secuencia de tortura ejecutada por el s\u00e1dico Mr Blonde.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de la portentosa elecci\u00f3n musical, Tarantino otorg\u00f3 mucha libertad a Michael Madsen para preparar la escena. Y en la que volver\u00e1 a sentirse el amor de Tarantino hacia los spaguetti westerns, con esa disecci\u00f3n de pabell\u00f3n auditivo que es un claro homenaje a <em>Django<\/em> (Sergio Corbucci, 1966).<\/p>\n<p>Un inmaculado plano secuencia, con el espectador siguiendo a Mr Blonde hacia su coche y de vuelta al almac\u00e9n para terminar el trabajo (y con el hilo musical apagado mientras el personaje se encuentra fuera de su escenario mortal), da cierre, tras la sorpresiva aparici\u00f3n de un Mr Orange al que la fatalidad parec\u00eda haber reservado el rol de testigo mudo, a una las escenas m\u00e1s genuinamente bizarras de un genio del s\u00e9ptimo arte.
