Un mundo oscuro, t\u00e9trico y habitado por inquietantes criaturas, que se entremezcla con el real (la ni\u00f1a nunca olvida las miserias del conflicto y de su descorazonadora situaci\u00f3n, ni siquiera en presencia del Fauno) y acaba arroj\u00e1ndonos a la cara una poderosa y recurrente moraleja: pese a la naturaleza terror\u00edfica y sobrenatural de las bestias surgidas de la mente de Ofelia\/Guillermo, los verdaderos monstruos pululan siempre por la realidad.
